Consistent Frozen Solutions Corporation in Makati, Philippines is seeking a Procurement Assistant Manager to help develop and execute strategies for indirect goods and services. You will source suppliers, negotiate terms, manage contracts, and drive process improvements to cut costs and boost efficiency.
You will collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand, monitor supplier performance, ensure compliance, and report on savings and KPIs while supervising procurement staff.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The Procurement Assistant Manager supports the development and execution of procurement strategies for indirect goods and services. This role assists in sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract management, and procurement process improvement to ensure cost efficiency, compliance, and operational effectiveness. The position works closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers while driving performance, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the implementation of procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and service.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings and value for money.
Monitor supplier performance and help maintain productive vendor relationships.
Collaborate with internal departments to identify procurement requirements and forecast demand.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, company standards, and regulatory requirements.
Review purchase requisitions, support purchase order processing, and monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.
Conduct market research and analyze pricing trends to support informed procurement decisions.
Prepare reports and provide insights on procurement performance, savings, and KPIs.
Supervise and provide guidance to procurement staffs.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably with 5-6 supervisory exposure.
Solid understanding of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, contract management, and supplier negotiation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office applications (ERP knowledge is an advantage).
Demonstrated leadership potential and team coordination skills.
