Job summary
Pfizer is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join Tech Operations, focusing on DeltaV DCS and PI Historian systems to support automation validation and compliance.
You will develop and qualify automation logic, manage DCS recipes and batch control, and ensure documentation aligns with 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP 5, and CSV standards while integrating PI with MES/ERP/SCADA for analytics and reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics, Automation, Chemical or related field.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in automation engineering in regulated pharma/biotech.
- Strong knowledge of DeltaV DCS systems.
- Expertise with Delta Batch (7016) or equivalent hands-on experience.
Responsibilities
- Create DCS recipe parameters and develop process flows from Tech transfer inputs.
- Review SDS/FS to understand automation requirements.
- Prepare Qualification Documents: DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ with 21 CFR Part 11/governance.
- Configure DeltaV DCS logic: Batch Recipes, Modules, Formulas, Phases.
- Maintain traceability matrices and audit readiness of documents.
- Qualification of Historian systems.
- Understand batch recipes, formulas, and control strategies.
- Ensure ALCOA, CSV principles in documentation.
- Interface configuration with OPC and Modbus and other protocols.
- Integrate PI with MES/ERP/SCADA; reporting with PI tools.
