MinebeaMitsumi Philippines seeks a Process Engineer to develop, standardize, and optimize manufacturing processes in automotive production lines. You will lead continuous improvement, ensure compliance with quality standards, and drive zero-defect manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related discipline).
• 3–5 years of proven process engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with automotive quality tools (PFMEA, SPC, MSA) and lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update manufacturing documentation (WI, PI, SI, MR) per automotive standards.
• Develop and maintain process flow charts, PFMEAs, and process parameter sheets for stable operations.
• Document operational changes and line improvements via Kaizen cards; ensure accuracy of records.
• Measure cycle times, analyze production data, and identify bottlenecks to reduce waste.
• Apply core automotive quality tools to support zero-defect manufacturing.
• Implement process improvements and verify effectiveness on assigned lines.
• Train production staff on quality procedures and preventive methods.
• Support process validation, stabilization of new/modified products, and equipment.
• Assist in ramp-up activities to enable smooth turnover to stable series production.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to troubleshoot line issues.
• Participate in APU and QRQC meetings for daily management.
• Contribute to continuous improvement via PSG, Hoshin, TPM, SMED workshops.
• Participate in internal process audits and follow-up actions.

Job Overview

We are seeking a Process Engineer to develop, standardize, and optimize manufacturing processes within our automotive production lines. In this role, you will lead continuous improvement initiatives, eliminate process inefficiencies, maintain compliance with automotive quality standards, and drive zero-defect manufacturing.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain and update manufacturing documentation (WI, PI, SI, MR) in compliance with automotive standards.
• Develop and maintain process Flow Charts, PFMEAs, and process parameter sheets to ensure correct setup and stable operations.
• Process and document operational changes and line improvements through Kaizen cards, ensuring ongoing documentation accuracy.
• Measure cycle times, analyze production data, and identify bottlenecks to eliminate operational inefficiencies.
• Apply core automotive quality tools and preventive methods to support zero-defect manufacturing.
• Implement process improvement measures and continuously verify their effectiveness on assigned lines.
• Train production employees on quality procedures, standards, and preventive quality methods.
• Support the introduction, process validation, and stabilization of new or modified products and manufacturing equipment.
• Support production ramp-up activities to facilitate a smooth transition into stable series production.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot line issues and optimize performance.
• Participate actively in regular APU and Quick Response Quality Control (QRQC) meetings for daily production management.
• Drive continuous improvement by participating in workshops such as PSG, Hoshin, TPM, and SMED.
• Participate in internal process audits and execute follow-up audit actions.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree (BSc/MSc) in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related discipline).
• 3 to 5 years of proven process engineering experience within an automotive manufacturing environment.
• High-level proficiency in automotive quality tools, including PFMEA, SPC, and MSA.
• Strong awareness and understanding of automotive product safety requirements.
• Solid understanding and practical application of Lean Manufacturing tools and principles (5S, Kaizen, TPM, SMED).
• Strong ability to read, interpret, and work with complex technical drawings, specification sheets, and schematic documentation.
• Working knowledge and hands-on experience with metrology and measurement tools.
• Proficiency in CAD software and standard MS Office applications.
• Fluent communication skills in English (both written and spoken).
• Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and systematic thinking skills.
• Proven capability to collaborate effectively within cross‑functional teams.
• Willing to work overseas
