Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking a Principal Technical Hybrid enterprise infrastructure architect with 7+ years in a Wintel role and 5+ years in cloud leadership. You will drive multi-cloud strategy across AWS/Azure, manage on-prem to cloud migrations, and establish landing zones, guardrails, and standardized architectures.

You will lead design reviews, guide complex modernization programs, and ensure governance and compliance across global enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in enterprise infrastructure and cloud engineering, with 7+ years in a Wintel role.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Exchange / Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), IAM.
• Windows Server 2019-2025, SQL, Backup solutions, DNS/DHCP/Group Policy.
• VMware ESXi and Hyper-V experience.
• Deep AWS and/or Azure experience, including IaaS/PaaS, cloud networking and governance.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Principal Technical Hybrid person for enterprise infrastructure and cloud platforms.
• Lead design reviews, incident escalations, and POC initiatives.
• Guide large-scale on-prem to cloud migrations and modernization efforts.
• Ensure security guardrails and architecture standards across hybrid environments.

High-impact technical authority with over 7+ years of experience driving enterprise infrastructure modernization, multi-cloud architecture, and global operations governance. A hands-on, who bridges the gap between legacy on-premises environments and modern cloud-native ecosystems. Proven track record eliminating architectural fragmentation by enforcing robust Landing Zones, standardized Hub-and-Spoke networks, Adept at leading complex migrations, resolving critical cross-platform escalations.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Principal Technical Hybrid person for enterprise infrastructure and cloud platforms.
• We are looking for following skills:
  • Enterprise services (Exchange / Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID)
  • Core network services (DNS, identity, domain architecture)
  • Public cloud platforms (AWS and Azure)
  • Virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi and Hyper‑V)
• hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, including IaaS, PaaS, and cloud networking.
• Good knowledge of landing zones, security guardrails, and architecture standards.
• Guide large-scale on-prem to cloud migrations and modernization initiatives.
• Lead technical design reviews, incident escalations, and proof-of-concept initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in enterprise infrastructure and cloud engineering, with 7+ years in a Wintel role.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in:
• Microsoft Exchange / Microsoft 365
• Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), IAM
• Windows Server 20192025, SQL, Backup solutions, DNS/DHCP/Group Policy
• Virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi and Hyper‑V)
• Deep experience with AWS and/or Azure, including:
• IaaS and PaaS architecture
• Cloud networking and hybrid connectivity
• Security, IAM, and governance
• Proven experience designing and operating large-scale hybrid environments.
• Ability to produce and review architecture and design documentation.
• Experience in global, enterprise-scale environments.
• Good understanding of IT compliance (eg. security, privacy, PCI, SOX, ISO 27001 etc.)
• Can run independent Projects on its Own.

Nice to Have

• Experience with observability platforms (Datadog, SolarWinds, Azure Monitor, CloudWatch).
• Backup platform (Veeam.).
• Relevant certifications (Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect – Professional, Microsoft 365, ITIL, Security).
