Job summary

Egis is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design for rail station projects. You will manage a team of engineers, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and deliver end-to-end electrical design from feasibility through construction support and as-built documentation.

You will ensure compliance with relevant standards, mentor engineers, and participate in client meetings to align technical solutions with project goals.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Member of an engineering institute and professionally registered.
• Experience in the railway industry.
• Experience in rail station electrical services design and coordination.
• Knowledge of electrical systems from design to maintenance.
• Familiar with national rail standards and relevant regulations.
• Proficiency with design software including Trimble Amtech Pro Design, Dialux/Relux.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of electrical engineers and allocate workload.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers to build technical capability.
• Drive a quality-focused culture with first-time-right delivery.
• Represent electrical discipline in client and project meetings.
• Deliver electrical design from feasibility to construction support and as-built docs.
• Review vendor/subcontractor submissions for compliance and coordination.
• Support testing, commissioning and certification activities.
