Job summary

OceanaGold Corporation in Didipio Mine, Philippines, is seeking a Principal Mining Engineer to develop long-term mine plans and align across planning horizons, integrating technical, operational, infrastructure, and economic inputs to deliver safe, efficient mining outcomes.

You will lead life-of-mine plans, coordinate across teams, and mentor engineers, supporting a strong safety culture and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mining Engineering.
• Extensive underground mine planning experience (open stoping preferred, min 10 years).
• Strong knowledge of mine planning, scheduling principles and sustainable mining practices.
• Expert proficiency in Deswik CAD and SchedulingSuite.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work across cross-functional teams.
• Exposure to international mining practices advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and optimisation of Life of Mine plans, production schedules, and infrastructure requirements.
• Coordinate quarterly and long-term planning activities across technical and operational teams.
• Monitor and update mine plans based on performance and priorities.
• Conduct scenario analysis and trade-off studies to support decisions.
• Develop and maintain mine planning standards, systems, and procedures.
• Support safe and efficient operations through planning and risk management.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
• Build relationships across site and corporate teams to support integrated planning.
• Mentor and develop engineering personnel while promoting safety culture.

Job Description

Didipio Mine is undergoing asignificant underground growth and infrastructure expansion phase. With continued operational ramp-up and long-term development opportunities, this is an exciting time to join the operation and play akey role in shaping itsfuture.

The Principal Mining Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining long-term mine plans that support the company’s strategic and operational objectives. The role ensures alignment across long, mid, and short-term planning horizons while integrating technical, operational, infrastructure, and economic inputs to deliver safe, efficient, and sustainable miningoutcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and optimisation of Life of Mine plans, production schedules, and infrastructure requirements.
• Coordinate quarterly and long-term planning activities across technical and operational teams.
• Monitor and update mine plans based on operational performance and businesspriorities.
• Conduct scenario analysis and trade-off studies to support operational and investmentdecisions.
• Develop and maintain mine planning standards, systems, and engineering procedures.
• Support safe and efficient mining operations through effective planning and riskmanagement.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and engineering bestpractices.
• Build strong working relationships across site and corporate teams to support integrated planning and operational delivery.
• Mentor and develop engineering personnel while promoting astrong safetyculture.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mining Engineering.
• Extensivemine planning experience within an underground mining environment preferably open stoping (minimum 10 years).
• Strong knowledge of mine planning, scheduling principles and sustainable miningpractices.
• Expert proficiency in Deswik CAD and SchedulingSuite.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinkingskills.
• Ability to work effectively within cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills, including preparation of technical reports and presentation across thebusiness
• Exposure to international mining practices considered highly advantageous
