Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years in a technical manager-level role.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java and modern full-stack development, including microservices, cloud technologies, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and AI-assisted development tools.
• Deep understanding of software engineering best practices, Agile/Scrum, OO design, testing (TDD/BDD), SQL & NoSQL databases, and secure scalable development.
• Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams, driving technical initiatives, mentoring developers, and delivering high-quality software on time.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design, architecture, and hands-on development of scalable software solutions, driving the delivery of critical features and core systems.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing engineering team by promoting technical excellence, collaboration, continuous learning, and AI-assisted development practices.
• Partner with Scrum Masters, Product, QA, and Engineering teams to plan, build, test, and deliver high-quality cloud, web, mobile, and desktop applications.
• Establish and uphold software engineering best practices, ensuring projects are delivered on time, maintainable, and aligned with quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement by resolving complex technical challenges, leading root cause analysis, optimizing system performance, and sharing emerging technologies and best practices.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years in a technical manager-level role, delivering complex software solutions.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java and modern full-stack development, including microservices, cloud technologies, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and AI-assisted development tools.
• Deep understanding of software engineering best practices, including Agile/Scrum, object-oriented design, testing methodologies (TDD/BDD), database design (SQL & NoSQL), and secure, scalable application development.
• Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams, driving technical initiatives, mentoring developers, and delivering high-quality software on time.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams and simplify complex technical concepts.

Bonus Points

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience building large-scale SaaS products or high-traffic applications.
