Job summary

Littelfuse Philippines, Inc. is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to drive electrical design, development and qualification of solid-state protection systems.

You will lead a design team, select components, and ensure reliability while meeting performance and cost targets. Qualifications include a MS or BS in Electrical Engineering with 15+ years of hands-on experience in analog and digital circuits, embedded firmware, and power electronics, plus EMC and safety knowledge.

Qualifications

• MS in Electrical Engineering or BS with equivalent experience.
• 15+ years hands-on experience in analog and digital circuit design.
• Expert knowledge of current sensing technologies for protection and metering.
• Embedded firmware or programmable logic experience for reliable performance.
• Experience with EMC and product safety approvals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and qualify electrical designs for solid-state control and protection components and systems.
• Lead technical excellence and mentor the development team.
• Evaluate feasibility and select suitable suppliers for components and processes.
• Lead testing of AC and DC protection systems.
• Coordinate with contract manufacturers or in-house manufacturing for design implementation.
• Support occasional travel to evaluate suppliers and ramp production.
• Develop and execute protection system qualification plans.
• Provide regular project updates as part of planning and execution.
