Elastic is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join Platform Infrastructure - Application Networking and shape the future of Elastic Cloud networking. You will drive architectural direction for Ingress, private connectivity, DNS, and security controls, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security at scale.

You will lead multi-quarter, cross-organizational initiatives, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product management on technical trade‑offs and roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Experience designing high-performance, scalable distributed systems at scale.
• Deep expertise in application networking, DNS, security controls and private connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction for major application networking initiatives from design through GA.
• Lead development of Ingress, private connectivity, DNS, and security controls at Elastic Cloud.
• Manage cross-organizational projects and guide them to delivery.
• Improve operational quality and lead incident investigations across services.
• Mentor engineers and act as a trusted technical advisor to the broader org.
