Job summary

Empower is seeking a Fees & Billing Specialist who will perform complex manual fee calculations and reconciliations for client accounts with specialized billing requirements. You will help ensure billing accuracy, audit readiness, and strengthen internal controls while supporting training and system enhancements.

The role requires 5+ years of experience in financial services, strong Excel skills, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related work experience in financial services.
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with manual fee calculations and billing reconciliations.
• Ability to maintain accurate financial records and meet deadlines.
• FINRA Fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex manual fee and billing calculations and reconcile client accounts with specialized billing requirements.
• Review completed Great-West Connect Service Requests for accuracy, document and track errors, and update procedures to strengthen operational quality.
• Train new and existing employees on billing products, operational processes, systems, and procedures.
• Coordinate testing and implementation activities for new products, plans, and recordkeeping system enhancements.
• Review and maintain system-generated reports supporting internal controls, audit requirements, and SOX compliance.
• Provide backup support for Operations Analysts and Coordinators based on business needs.
• Investigate billing discrepancies, resolve operational issues within established procedures, and escalate... as appropriate.
• Complete assigned projects and operational activities within established deadlines.
• Document billing reconciliations, investigate variances, and maintain supporting records for audit and financial control purposes.
