Empower Retirement is seeking a Fees & Billing Specialist to perform complex manual fee calculations, billing reconciliations, and quality control for client accounts with specialized billing requirements. You will support billing accuracy, audit readiness, and internal controls while training staff and coordinating system enhancements.

Qualifications

• Five years of related work experience, including two years in financial services.
• Strong Excel proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with manual fee calculations, billing reconciliations, or financial operations processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with employees and management.
• Ability to identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and escalate exceptions.
• Follow documented operating procedures and established financial controls.
• FINRA Fingerprinting required.

Responsabilités

• Perform complex manual fee and billing calculations and reconcile client accounts with specialized billing requirements.
• Review completed Great-West Connect Service Requests for accuracy, document and track errors, and update procedures to strengthen operational quality.
• Train new and existing employees on billing products, operational processes, systems, and procedures.
• Coordinate testing and implementation activities for new products, plans, and recordkeeping system enhancements.
• Review and maintain system-generated reports supporting internal controls, audit requirements, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.
• Provide backup support for Operations Analysts and Coordinators based on business needs.
• Investigate billing discrepancies, resolve operational issues within established procedures, and
• Complete assigned projects and operational activities within established deadlines.
• Document billing reconciliations, investigate variances, and maintain supporting records for audit and financial control purposes.
