Job Summary

Link4 helps businesses exchange and processfinancial and business documents through eInvoicing and AP automation. ThePre-Sales Engineer provides technical expertise during discovery, solutiondesign, and sales stages. The role is focused on connecting customerrequirements with deliverable Link4 solutions. A strong background in softwaredevelopment, systems integration, or technical software delivery is essential.The role supports growth in the Philippines and other markets through accuratetechnical advice and effective implementation handovers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery with customers andpartners: identify ERP versions, AP/AR workflows, document the customerrequirements, integration interfaces, security requirements, regulatory needsand implementation constraints.
• Document the proposed integration methodusing supported Link4 APIs, SFTP and/or file-based interfaces. Define dataflows, field mappings, attachments, business rules & validations, errorhandling and reconciliation requirements.
• Interpret API documentation and sample JSON,XML and CSV payloads; investigate routine technical questions and validateassumptions using approved test environments and tools during sales stages.
• Assess integration options for OracleNetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (including Business Central), SAP and OracleERP / Fusion Cloud ERP. Identify required ERP configurations, customer accessand implementation-partner dependencies.
• Conduct technical demonstrations and solutionpresentations tailored to customer needs. Explain integration options,limitations and responsibilities clearly to business and IT stakeholders.
• Prepare technical RFP, RFQ and tenderresponses, architecture diagrams and questionnaires. Verify statements againstcurrent product capabilities and supporting evidence before submission.
• Distinguish supported functionality,configuration and new development. Identify gaps, assumptions, risks and effortdependencies early, obtaining Product, Engineering or Project Deliveryvalidation before commitments are made.
• Coordinate technical reviews within agreedsales and tender deadlines; track unresolved questions, accountable owners anddecision dates, and elevate blockers early.
• Prepare a structured handover to ProjectDelivery covering agreed scope, systems, interfaces, mappings, testing andacceptance criteria, responsibilities, dependencies, risks and outstandingdecisions.
• Develop knowledge of Link4 eInvoicing, Peppoland digital trade solutions and market-specific requirements. Maintain reusabletechnical knowledge and undertake related duties reasonably required for therole.

Key Performance Indicators

• Technical response timeliness: completeresponses and reviews by agreed deadlines; elevate blocked items before thosedeadlines.
• Technical accuracy: track corrections anddelivery rework caused by inaccurate or unvalidated pre-sales statements.
• Handover quality: obtain Project Deliveryacceptance of required technical scope, dependencies and unresolved decisionsbefore implementation starts.
• Risk identification and resolution: documentmaterial integration risks and capability gaps before proposals are committed.
• Technical contribution to sales: reviewoutcomes of supported opportunities and demonstrations, alongside feedback fromSales, customers and Project Delivery. Targets are agreed with the manager.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science,Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems or a relatedfield, or equivalent demonstrable practical experience.
• Ideally three or more years in softwaredevelopment, systems integration, implementation, technical consulting,solutions engineering or enterprise software delivery.
• Technical project management experience issuitable where it includes practical responsibility for integrationrequirements, design reviews, testing and troubleshooting.
• Essential: experience implementing,integrating or supporting at least one ERP or significant enterprise businessapplication; proven ability to interpret interfaces and investigate technicalissues.
• Highly desirable: experience with OracleNetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Business Central, SAP or Oracle ERP / FusionCloud ERP. Expertise in all four platforms is not required.
• Highly desirable: eInvoicing, Peppol, EDI,AP/AR automation, procurement systems, financial modules, SaaS integrations orenterprise/government tenders. Candidates with strong technical capability canlearn the eInvoicing domain.

Skills & Competencies

• Practical integration knowledge: REST APIs,endpoints and payloads, webhooks, SFTP, JSON, XML and CSV, field mapping andtransformation, authentication, credentials and secure data exchange.
• Ability to read API specifications, interpretersample payloads, use API testing tools such as Postman or equivalent, andreason about validation, retries, duplicate prevention, error handling andtroubleshooting.
• Understanding of cloud/SaaS applications, ERPdocument flows, software testing and technical requirements documentation; ability to produce clear integration diagrams and handover materials.
• Strong analytical judgment, attention todetail and initiative: investigate independently, identify missing information,and recognise when specialist technical approval is needed.
• Clear written and spoken English, confidentcustomer communication and the ability to explain technical concepts totechnical and non-technical audiences.
• Commercial awareness, collaborative workingand disciplined management of deadlines, assumptions and decisions. Ability touse AI-assisted tools responsibly, validate outputs and protect customerinformation.

Working Relationships

Internal: Sales, Client Relations, Product,Engineering, Project Delivery, Customer Success and Support. Work with the CTOor nominated technical authority (Delivery or Engineering) on capabilityvalidation and solution approvals.

External: Prospective and existing customers,customer IT and finance teams, ERP vendors, implementation partners, and othertechnology partners.

Work Environment & Other Requirements

• Philippines-based role supporting customersand colleagues across multiple markets; work arrangements and any travel areagreed with the manager.
• Participate in customer meetings,demonstrations and technical reviews across relevant time zones, with workinghours and workload planned in advance.
