Job summary

AboitizPower is seeking a Reliability and Performance Management Engineer to support the RPM team in monitoring and improving the thermal performance of our coal-fired power plants. The role focuses on root-cause analysis, reliability-driven improvements, and ensuring compliance with ISO standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in O&M for coal plants, with at least 2 years in performance or reliability roles, and holds a professional engineering license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical).
• Licensed/registered engineer status is required.
• At least 5 years of O&M experience in coal-fired thermal power plants.
• At least 2 years in performance/reliability-focused roles.
• Strong knowledge of power plant operations, diagnostics, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Produce root-cause analysis reports for critical equipment and investigate plant failures.
• Monitor and report plant heat rates and subsystems (boilers, turbines).
• Prepare operational compliance reports and performance indices for stakeholders.
• Ensure all activities conform to ISO standards.
