AboitizPower is seeking a Steam Turbine and Rotating Plant Expert to lead asset management plans for Steam Turbine Prime Movers and related equipment at the Therma Luzon Inc. unit in Pagbilao, Quezon.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Master’s degree in Engineering; PRC license is an advantage.
• At least 10 years of experience in steam turbine maintenance within power generation, petrochemical, or refining industries.
• At least 2 years of experience working for a steam turbine OEM or ISP.
• At least 2 years of experience in project management.
• Proven experience in preventive, predictive, condition-based maintenance, and performance enhancement of operating assets.

Responsibilities

• Develop Steam Turbine Maintenance and Remaining Life Assessment (RLA) programs and ensure reliability and predictive maintenance plans are developed and executed.
• Ensure steam turbines and protective devices are maintained on time; audit load rejection/synchronization events and track operating hours to adjust maintenance cycles.
• Provide outage and incident support, assist with outage scope planning, advise on technical issues, and participate in RCA and corrective actions.
• Establish O&M guidelines and review technical performance; develop O&M guidelines, ensure third-party PO specs, and conduct quarterly site reviews.

As a Steam Turbine Expert, you will play a key role in planning, designing, and implementing the asset management plans and policies relating to Steam Turbine Prime Movers and their auxiliary equipment and controls and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with internal leaders (such as Business Unit Leaders, O&M Managers, Asset Managers, and Risk Managers) and external partners (including Steam Turbine OEMs, Service Providers, Lender's Engineers, and Insurance Brokers) to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Develop Steam Turbine Maintenance and Remaining Life Assessment (RLA) programs and ensure that reliability engineering and predictive maintenance plans are thoroughly developed, implemented, and executed across sites.
• Ensure steam turbines and their protective devices are maintained in a timely and thorough manner, which includes auditing load rejection/synchronization events and tracking operating hours to adjust maintenance cycles.
• Provide critical outage and incident support, which includes assisting site Maintenance and Engineering teams in Outage scope planning, being present during outages to advise on technical issues and participating in root cause failure analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.
• Establish O&M guidelines and review technical performance by developing O&M technical guidelines, ensuring third-party purchase orders meet strict specs, and conducting quarterly system reviews across sites to improve performance and alignment with best practices.

• Exhibits strong technical leadership and project management capabilities, with proven experience leading technical team members to execute design or service work within scheduled timeframes and budgets.
• Maintains a strong safety and quality orientation, ensuring all maintenance procedures follow strict safety precautions (such as cooling circuit purges) and conform to corporate Quality, Environmental, OHS, and Information Security standards.

What You Will Need:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• A Master’s degree in Engineering and a PRC license is an advantage
• At least 10 years of experience in steam turbine maintenance within the power generation, petrochemical, or refining industries (Note: Experience requirements may be reduced for individuals with advanced technical/business degrees or PE registration).
• Additional Experience:
• At least 2 years of experience working for a steam turbine original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or industrial service provider (ISP).
• At least 2 years of experience in project management.
• Proven experience in preventive, predictive, condition-based maintenance, and performance enhancement of operating assets.

Technical / Functional Skills:

• Proficiency in steam turbine systems, construction, rebuild techniques, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Strong skills in reliability engineering, statistical analyses of failure modes, performance optimization, and root cause failure analysis (RCA)
