Job summary

Therma Visayas, Inc. seeks a Reliability and Performance Management Engineer to support the RPM team in monitoring and improving the thermal performance of our coal-fired power plants.

The role involves producing root-cause analyses, tracking heat rates and subsystem performance, and ensuring ISO-standard compliance across reporting and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
• Licensed/Registered Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineer.
• At least 5 years O&M experience in coal-fired thermal power plants.
• Minimum of 2 years in a performance and/or reliability-focused role.

As aReliability and Performance Management (RPM) Engineer,you support the RPM team in monitoring, evaluating, and recommending improvements for the thermal performance of our power plants. You will work closely with theRPMteam to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Reliability:Produce root-cause analysis reports for critical equipment, identify asset risks, and investigate plant failures.
• Performance:Monitor and report on overall plant heat rates and individual subsystems like boilers and turbines.
• Compliance:Prepare operational compliance reports, generation statistics, and performance indices for internal and external stakeholders.
• Standards:Ensure all activities conform to ISO standards.

To Succeed in this Role, we need someone who:

• Expert Knowledge of O&M: You possess expert-level understanding of the operations and maintenance of power plant facilities.
• Technical Diagnostics: You have expert knowledge of various aspects of power plant performance testing and diagnostics, aligned with standard engineering practices.
• Analytical Interpretation: You have an above-average ability to analyze and interpret condition monitoring information to develop actionable reliability improvement plans.
• Compliance Awareness: You are well-versed in the basic compliance requirements for power plant operations.
• Attention to Detail: You maintain an above-average level of attention to detail in all technical reporting and assessments.

What You Will Need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
• Licensed/Registered Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineer.
• At least 5 years of experience in the operations and maintenance (O&M) of power plants, specifically within coal-fired thermal power plants.
• A minimum of 2 years specifically in a performance and/or reliability-focused position.
