Job summary

AboitizPower is hiring a Plant Engineer to oversee wind turbine generator operations, maintenance, and reliability across wind farms. You will coordinate with technicians, contractors, and OEMs to ensure safe, cost-effective performance in compliance with regulatory standards.

You will support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and optimization efforts, while aligning with the Plant Supervisor to deliver reliable energy and community impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Licensed engineer required.
• Training/certifications in wind turbine systems (OEM certifications, HV switching, GWO).
• Experience with SCADA, HV/MV substations, protection systems, and PLC controls.
• Experience leading troubleshooting activities and coordinating with OEMs or contractors.
• Familiarity with IEC 61400, Philippine Grid Code, and RA 7920 standards.
• No fear of heights.

Responsibilities

• Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of WTGs, substations, and BOP equipment.
• Provide technical guidance for mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Review and approve maintenance plans and service procedures.
• Support condition monitoring and predictive maintenance actions.
