Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) seeks a Manager of Optimisation Services Business Operations to lead a small team of operations analysts, oversee optimisation runs, and coordinate client onboarding within a fast-paced post-trade environment.

You will combine hands-on operational delivery with day-to-day people leadership, ensuring timely execution, risk management, and effective stakeholder engagement across multiple Optimisation Services.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and managing an operational team.
• Investment banking knowledge and familiarity with financial products and derivatives (e.g., swaps, FX forwards) is a plus
• Excellent written English communication for documentation and internal coordination
• Bachelor's degree or a degree in a numerate or technical field (e.g., Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science) or equivalent experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Operational mentality: Ability to follow structured processes, run recurring tasks, and ensure timely execution of scheduled activities
• Proficiency in data handling tools such as Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP), with exposure to Python or SQL being an advantage
• Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities efficiently
• QA testing and Jira experience advantageous

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day workload and priorities of a Business Operations team in line with Product Team objectives & expectations.
• Provide performance feedback and support development planning.
• Foster a collaborative, accountable team culture.
• Effective communication is key to this role. You will clearly communicate operational issues and risks to stakeholders and continually liaise with Service Team Leads on delivery and performance of the team.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to help improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.
• Presenting data analysis findings in a clear and insightful manner is expected, especially when identifying issues or anomalies.
• Maintaining ongoing, two-way engagement with team members across all aspects of the role is vital for success.
• Maintain a strong working understanding of all Quantile Optimisation Services, including configuring, validating data, running optimisations, post-run checks, and post-execution processes including trade booking & regulatory reporting.
• Providing post-run analysis to the team and acting as first-line escalation point during live optimisation runs.
• You will support & provide oversight of client onboarding with internal set up of new clients and testing.
• Running scenarios and carrying out data analysis to aid client onboarding and provide insights for growing the service for existing clients.
• QA testing of product & process improvements, ensuring they meet requirements within weekly release schedules
