Job summary

MR DIY Philippines is seeking a Store Cashier for Mactan Town to handle payments, operate registers, and ensure accurate transactions. The role requires a bachelor’s degree and a background in cashiering, preferably with POS experience, plus strong customer service and reliability.

You should be able to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate good communication and computer skills. The cashier will manage daily cash handling, balance cash, assist customers, and maintain a neat checkout

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or any 4 year course.
• Background in cashiering, preferably with POS experience.
• Ability to provide quality customer service.
• Trustworthy, detail-oriented and can work with minimal supervision.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar industry.
• Average communication and people skills.
• Computer literate.
• Willing to work in Mactan Town.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic math functions to collect payments and make change.
• Operate registers, scanners, scales and credit card/debit card terminals.
• Balancing the cash register and generating reports for credit and debit sales.
• Accepting payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and proving a receipt to every customer.
• Handle exchanges and refunds in a quick, efficient manner.
• Maintain accurate cash drawer.
• Keep the checkout area clean and orderly.
