Job summary

Globalport Terminals, Inc. seeks an experienced Environmental Safety Officer to ensure compliance with safety policies across all port personnel.

You will report violations, inspect pollution sources, and update permits to meet regulatory requirements while collaborating with authorities. The role requires developing training modules, conducting risk assessments, and delivering seminars to strengthen safety culture within the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is required.
• PCO training certification from DENR-EMB recognized institution.
• BOSH training completed.
• Experience in environmental compliance, pollution control or OHS, especially in ports/logistics.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental risks and health-related aspects.
• Port terminal safety operations knowledge.
• Thorough knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
• Proficiency with environmental inspection equipment and technology.
• Ability to write safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to develop and deliver training modules.
• Experience with incident investigation.
• Strong management and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensures safety policies are implemented and observed by all personnel.
• Reports violations of port safety rules in collaboration with authorities.
• Inspects and investigates pollution sources to protect public health and environment.
• Examines and updates permits, licenses, and environmental compliance records.
• Proposes a holistic Company Safety Program and author policies.
• Conducts risk assessments and identifies process bottlenecks with solutions.
• Prepares safety seminars, orientations, and webinars regularly.
• Reviews existing safety policies and procedures.
• Submits monthly inspections reports to improve safety systems.
• Prepares and presents reports on accidents and root causes.
• Orients staff on Company Safety Program and safety practices.
• Actively participates as a regular member of the company fire brigade.
