Job summary

ib vogt GmbH in the Philippines seeks a Pollution Control Officer to ensure environmental compliance from site prep to commissioning of solar projects. You will coordinate with the E&S team, prepare reports, implement control measures, and train staff on sustainability practices.

The role involves monitoring emissions and waste, handling permits, and driving continuous environmental improvements within regulatory limits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as Pollution Control Officer; solar plant experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of Philippine environmental laws and permit processes.
• Competent in pollution control, environmental protection, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in environmental monitoring and DENR-EMB reporting.
• Experience in waste management and pollution prevention.
• Certification as Pollution Control Officer with 40-hour basic training.
• OSH/COSH certifications are a plus.
• Fluent in English and Ilonggo.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with local and national environmental regulations for air, water, and noise.
• Coordinate environmental impact assessments and audits with third parties or authorities.
• Prepare and submit environmental reports and permits to regulatory authorities.
• Develop and implement pollution control strategies to minimize impact.
• Monitor emissions, effluent, and waste management within regulatory limits.
• Provide staff training on environmental policies and pollution control.
• Promote waste minimization and energy conservation.
• Investigate environmental incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Develop emergency response procedures with E&S Manager.
• Coordinate with contractors to monitor the Environment Management Plan.
