Job summary

Insight in Pasig, Philippines is hiring a Platform Engineer for AI Development. This hybrid role requires you to design, build, and maintain the Azure cloud foundation that enables AI workloads, development workspaces, data pipelines, and production services.

You will implement IaC with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM, manage Entra ID, Key Vaults, AKS, and monitoring; ensure security, scalability, and cost control while collaborating in an Agile team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in platform/cloud/infrastructure roles.
• Hands-on Azure cloud experience with App Services, Functions, AKS, VNet, Entra ID, Key Vault.
• Proficient with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Experience integrating data platforms (Databricks) with cloud services.
• Knowledge of cloud security and identity management.

Responsibilities

• Design, provision, and manage Azure cloud infra using IaC (Terraform, Bicep, ARM).

• Implement security controls and compliance across environments.
• Support developers with env configuration and cloud service integration.

About This Role

The Platform Engineer builds and maintains the foundational cloud infrastructure that Insight's AI Development team relies on to develop, deploy, and operate AI‑powered applications. You will design secure, scalable, and reproducible environments on Microsoft Azure — ensuring that the team has reliable platforms for everything from development workspaces and data pipelines to production AI services.

Along the way, you will get to

• Design, provision, and manage cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates).
• Build and maintain shared platform services: networking, identity (Entra), key vaults, container registries, and monitoring.
• Implement security best practices, access controls, and compliance policies across all environments.
• Support developers with environment configuration, cloud service integration, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor infrastructure health, costs, and performance; implement alerting and auto‑scaling as needed.
• Maintain documentation for infrastructure architecture, runbooks, and operational procedures.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: Minimum 3 years in a platform engineering, cloud engineering, or infrastructure role.
• Cloud: Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure (App Services, Azure Functions, AKS, Virtual Networks, Entra ID, Key Vault).
• IaC: Proficiency with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Data Integration: Familiarity with integrating data platforms (e.g., Databricks) and cloud data services into application architectures.
• Security: Understanding of cloud security principles, identity management, and network security.
• Scripting: Proficiency in Bash, PowerShell, or Python for automation.
• Monitoring: Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or similar observability tools.
• Communication: Strong English communication skills; comfortable working in an Agile team.
• Nice to Have: Experience with GCP; familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and service mesh architectures.
