Job summary

Insight is a Fortune 500 Solutions Integrator focused on cloud, data, AI, cybersecurity and intelligent edge. The Platform Engineer builds and maintains the foundational Azure infrastructure that the AI Development team relies on to create, deploy, and operate AI-powered applications.

You will design secure, scalable environments, provision IaC, and enable reliable development workspaces, data pipelines and production services while collaborating in an Agile team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a platform/cloud/infrastructure role.
• Hands-on Azure experience (App Services, Functions, AKS, VNET, Entra ID, Key Vault).
• Proficient with Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates for IaC.
• Experience integrating data platforms (e.g., Databricks) and cloud data services.
• Solid cloud security knowledge, identity management and network security.
• Scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, or Python for automation.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Azure Monitor or App Insights.
• Strong English communication; comfortable in Agile teams.
• Nice to have: GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, service mesh architectures.

Responsibilities

About This Role

The Platform Engineer builds and maintains the foundational cloud infrastructure that Insight's AI Development team relies on to develop, deploy, and operate AI-powered applications. You will design secure, scalable, and reproducible environments on Microsoft Azure - ensuring that the team has reliable platforms for everything from development workspaces and data pipelines to production AI services.

Along the way, you will get to

• Design, provision, and manage cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates).
• Build and maintain shared platform services: networking, identity (Entra), key vaults, container registries, and monitoring.
• Implement security best practices, access controls, and compliance policies across all environments.
• Support developers with environment configuration, cloud service integration, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor infrastructure health, costs, and performance; implement alerting and auto-scaling as needed.
• Maintain documentation for infrastructure architecture, runbooks, and operational procedures.

What we’re looking for

• Experience: Minimum 3 years in a platform engineering, cloud engineering, or infrastructure role.
• Cloud: Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (App Services, Azure Functions, AKS, Virtual Networks, Entra ID, Key Vault).
• IaC: Proficiency with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Data Integration: Familiarity with integrating data platforms (e.g., Databricks) and cloud data services into application architectures.
• Security: Understanding of cloud security principles, identity management, and network security.
• Scripting: Proficiency in Bash, PowerShell, or Python for automation.
• Monitoring: Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or similar observability tools.
• Communication: Strong English communication skills; comfortable working in an Agile team.
• Nice to Have: Experience with GCP; familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and service mesh architectures.
