Job summary

Insight is seeking a Platform Engineer to design and maintain scalable Azure-based infrastructure for AI development teams. You’ll build secure environments using IaC, support developers, and monitor performance across environments in a hybrid work setup from Pasig.

A strong focus on security, cloud data integrations, and observability will be essential. You will collaborate in an Agile team, improve automation with Bash/PowerShell/Python, and contribute to cost-aware, reliable cloud platforms

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a platform engineering, cloud engineering, or infrastructure role.

Responsibilities

• Design, provision, and manage cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure using IaC (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates).
• Build and maintain shared platform services: networking, identity (Entra), key vaults, container registries, and monitoring.
• Implement security best practices, access controls, and compliance across environments.
• Support developers with environment configuration, cloud service integration, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor infrastructure health, costs, and performance; set up alerting and auto-scaling.
• Maintain documentation for infrastructure architecture, runbooks, and operational procedures.

About This Role

The Platform Engineer builds and maintains the foundational cloud infrastructure that Insight's AI Development team relies on to develop, deploy, and operate AI-powered applications. You will design secure, scalable, and reproducible environments on Microsoft Azure — ensuring that the team has reliable platforms for everything from development workspaces and data pipelines to production AI services.

What we’re looking for

• Experience: Minimum 3 years in a platform engineering, cloud engineering, or infrastructure role.
• Cloud: Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (App Services, Azure Functions, AKS, Virtual Networks, Entra ID, Key Vault).
• IaC: Proficiency with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Data Integration: Familiarity with integrating data platforms (e.g., Databricks) and cloud data services into application architectures.
• Security: Understanding of cloud security principles, identity management, and network security.
• Scripting: Proficiency in Bash, PowerShell, or Python for automation.
• Monitoring: Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or similar observability tools.
• Communication: Strong English communication skills; comfortable working in an Agile team.
• Nice to Have: Experience with GCP; familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and service mesh architectures.
