Job summary

Insight is seeking a Platform Engineer to design and maintain Azure-based infrastructure for its AI Development team. You will build secure, scalable environments, enable development workspaces, data pipelines, and production AI services.

You will collaborate in an Agile, English-speaking team, implementing automation, observability, and cost-control, with hybrid work: 1 day in the office and 4 days remote.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a platform/ cloud or infrastructure role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services (App Services, Azure Functions, AKS, Virtual Networks, Entra ID, Key Vault).
• Proficiency with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates for IaC.
• Familiarity with data platforms (Databricks) and cloud data services integration.
• Understanding of cloud security, identity management and network security.
• Proficiency in Bash, PowerShell, or Python for automation.
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights or similar observability tools.
• Strong English communication skills and ability to work in an Agile team.
• Nice to Have: GCP experience; Docker, Kubernetes, service mesh knowledge.

About This Role

The Platform Engineer builds and maintains the foundational cloud infrastructure that Insight's AI Development team relies on to develop, deploy, and operate AI-powered applications. You will design secure, scalable, and reproducible environments on Microsoft Azure — ensuring that the team has reliable platforms for everything from development workspaces and data pipelines to production AI services.

What we’re looking for

• Experience: Minimum 3 years in a platform engineering, cloud engineering, or infrastructure role.
• Cloud: Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (App Services, Azure Functions, AKS, Virtual Networks, Entra ID, Key Vault).
• IaC: Proficiency with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Data Integration: Familiarity with integrating data platforms (e.g., Databricks) and cloud data services into application architectures.
• Security: Understanding of cloud security principles, identity management, and network security.
• Scripting: Proficiency in Bash, PowerShell, or Python for automation.
• Monitoring: Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or similar observability tools.
• Communication: Strong English communication skills; comfortable working in an Agile team.
• Nice to Have: Experience with GCP; familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and service mesh architectures.
