Job summary

About the role

As a network engineer within Insight's Infrastructure Managed Services Team, your primary role will be a Network Engineer on diverse and challenging customer projects. You will be a member of a team responsible for incident resolution and service request handling for a wide variety of networking technologies.

As a Network Engineer you will:

• Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot WAN and LAN connections for multiple clients.
• Use remote monitoring tools and protocol analyzers to troubleshoot, diagnose and solve network problems, including WAPs and controllers.
• Perform advanced, complex network analysis, identify problems, and determine solutions.
• Recommend enhancements to the network that will improve the quality, performance, security, and reliability of the network.
• Creates and maintains documentation of networks and network systems.
• Follows project methodologies to complete assigned tasks..

What we’re looking for

• Degree in Computer/Information Science, technical college, or equivalent work experience
• 7+ years progressive experience in networking
• Must have Palo Alto, Cisco, Cisco Meraki, ASA, Firepower, Fortinet, and F5 experience.
• Juniper experience desired.
• Demonstrated associate to professional level technology and support experience for route/switch, security, wireless, etc. Certifications desired.
• Must have a solid understanding and practical experience with monitoring and management of SD-WAN solutions.
