Job summary

CLEVR in the Philippines seeks a Plant Production Manager to lead the day-to-day manufacturing of pet food at a Central Luzon facility. You will drive safe, efficient, cost-effective production while boosting yield, equipment utilization, and overall plant performance.

You will supervise production supervisors and operators, implement continuous improvement programs, and collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and Procurement to hit plant objectives and deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years of manufacturing experience, including 3–5 years in a production leadership role.
• Experience in feed mills, animal feed manufacturing, pet food manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience in dry-processing machinery and operations.
• Strong knowledge of OEE, production efficiency, yield, downtime reduction, capacity utilization, and cost control.
• Experience implementing GMP, HACCP, food safety, quality, and plant safety standards.
• Demonstrated ability to lead production teams and drive continuous improvement.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily plant production and manufacturing operations to ensure output, quality, cost, and delivery targets are achieved.
• Establish and monitor production KPIs covering OEE, efficiency, yield, downtime, capacity, waste, and cost.
• Lead production planning and the effective utilization of manpower, machinery, materials, and other plant resources.
• Drive process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production output and operating efficiency.
• Ensure the reliable and efficient operation of dry-processing equipment used in milling, grinding, mixing, extrusion, drying, and packaging.
• Work closely with Engineering and Maintenance teams to address equipment issues, minimize downtime, and improve machine reliability.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, food safety, quality, occupational safety, and regulatory standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors, operators, and other manufacturing personnel.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for production, quality, and equipment-related concerns.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Procurement, and other functions to achieve plant objectives.
• Prepare and present regular reports and recommendations on production performance, operational risks, and improvement opportunities.

PLANT PRODUCTION MANAGER (PET FOOD)

Role Overview

The Plant Production Manager / Plant Manufacturing Lead will lead the day-to-day manufacturing operations of an animal feed or pet food production facility. The role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality production while driving improvements in productivity, yield, equipment utilization, and overall plant performance.

• Required hands-on experience in dry-processing machinery and operations.

• Practical exposure to milling, grinding, mixing, extrusion, drying, and packaging processes.

• Strong knowledge of OEE, production efficiency, yield, downtime reduction, capacity utilization, and cost control.

• Experience implementing GMP, HACCP, food safety, quality, and plant safety standards.

• Demonstrated ability to lead production teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
