Job summary

Filoil Logistics Corporation is seeking a skilled Plant Operator to join the Cagayan de Oro operations team. The role focuses on monitoring and controlling plant equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations across manufacturing and logistics facilities.

The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of experience in manufacturing or logistics, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow technical drawings and SOPs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in plant operations desirable.
• 2–3 years experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate complex industrial machinery.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Knowledge of plant safety procedures, hazard identification, and emergency response.
• Willingness to work shifts, including early mornings/evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor plant equipment, machinery, and systems per SOPs and safety protocols.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance checks.
• Record operational parameters and maintain logs.
• Respond to alarms and malfunctions, escalate when needed.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Communicate with team and other departments to coordinate operations.
• Conduct start-up, shutdown, and changeover procedures following SOPs.
• Keep work areas clean and safe; support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with mentoring junior operators when required.

About the role

Filoil Logistics Corporation is seeking a skilled and dedicated Plant Operator to join our operations team in Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our manufacturing and logistics facilities. As a Plant Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling plant equipment and systems, contributing directly to our operational excellence and maintaining the high standards our clients depend on. This role is integral to our supply chain operations and the overall success of Filoil Logistics Corporation.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor industrial plant equipment, machinery, and systems in accordance with established operating procedures and safety protocols

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance checks on plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues before they

• Monitor and record operational parameters, including temperature, pressure, flow rates, and other critical metrics, maintaining accurate logs and documentation

• Respond promptly to alarms, equipment malfunctions, and operational anomalies, taking corrective action or escalating issues to supervisors as appropriate

• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies at all times

• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate operations and resolve operational challenges

• Conduct equipment start-up, shutdown, and changeover procedures following standard operating procedures

• Clean and maintain work areas and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient working environment

• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute ideas to enhance operational efficiency and safety

• Assist with training and mentoring of junior operators when required

What we’re looking for

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification; technical certification in plant operations, mechanical engineering, or a related field is highly desirable

• Proven experience as a Plant Operator, Machine Operator, or similar role in a manufacturing or logistics environment, preferably 2-3 years minimum

• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and operate complex industrial machinery and control systems

• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and operating manuals

• Knowledge of plant safety procedures, hazard identification, and emergency response protocols

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately record operational data and maintain documentation

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues independently

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as operational requirements dictate

• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

• Physical fitness and the ability to perform tasks requiring standing, walking, and manual handling for extended periods

• Certification in OSHA or equivalent safety standards is preferred

• Experience with computerised control systems and data logging equipment is a plus
