About the role

FILOIL GAS and ENERGY COMPANY, INC. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Utility Maintenance professional to join our team in Tondo, Manila City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and safety of our utility systems and infrastructure. As a Utility Maintenance specialist, you will be responsible for the regular inspection, maintenance, and repair of essential utility systems that support our operations. This position is integral to maintaining our operational efficiency, ensuring facility safety, and minimising downtime across our energy and gas operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on utility systems, including gas lines, water systems, electrical installations and related infrastructure
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing appropriate repairs
• Conduct preventative maintenance activities to ensure all systems remain in optimal working condition and comply with safety standards
• Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs completed and spare parts used
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and utility-related issues to minimise operational disruptions
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and company policies
• Collaborate with other maintenance team members and departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and improve facility operations
• Report any safety hazards or potential risks to supervisory staff immediately
• Perform minor repairs and modifications to utility systems as required
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and request replacements or repairs when necessary

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in utility maintenance, facility maintenance or a related field within the trades and services industry
• Technical knowledge of gas systems, water systems, electrical systems and related utility infrastructure
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools and specialised maintenance equipment safely and effectively
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to work independently
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and maintenance manuals
• Knowledge of relevant safety standards, regulations and best practices in utility maintenance
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining comprehensive maintenance records
• Physical fitness and ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working at heights where required
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in maintenance, electrical work, plumbing or gas systems are highly desirable
• Previous experience in the energy or gas sector would be advantageous
