The role leads daily operations, production planning, scheduling, and staff management to drive efficiency, safety, and profitability. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in plant or senior operations management within manufacturing, with strong Lean/Six Sigma expertise and a track record of cost reductions without compromising quality.
We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead our manufacturing operations at our Santo Tomas, Batangas facility. This is a full-time position that plays a critical strategic role in DYD Refrigeration Systems, Inc., overseeing all aspects of plant operations, production planning, scheduling, and team management. As Plant Manager, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring efficient production workflows, maintaining safety standards, and achieving our business objectives. This role reports directly to senior leadership and is instrumental in positioning our facility as a high-performing manufacturing hub within the refrigeration systems industry.
Oversee all daily plant operations, including production scheduling, inventory management, and resource allocation to ensure optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness
Develop and implement production plans that align with demand forecasts, customer requirements, and company objectives
Lead, mentor, and manage plant staff across all departments, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and safety
Monitor and optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance product quality
Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, environmental and all government regulations, with responsibility for maintaining a zero-incident workplace
Manage plant budgets, capital expenditure requests, and operational costs whilst maintaining profitability targets
Implement lean manufacturing principles and identify opportunities for process improvements and automation
Maintain effective relationships with customers and cross-functional departments to support seamless operations
Conduct performance reviews, develop training programs, and create succession plans for plant personnel
Report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including production metrics, quality standards, safety records, and financial performance
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
Minimum 5–10 years of experience in plant management or senior operations management roles within manufacturing environments
Proven expertise in production planning, scheduling, and supply chain coordination
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
Demonstrated experience managing budgets and driving cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality
Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate diverse workforce across multiple departments
Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance and demonstrated commitment to maintaining high safety standards
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Experience in the refrigeration, HVAC, or related manufacturing sectors is highly desirable
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality management standards is preferred
