Job summary

MEGABON CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT CORP, Biñan, Laguna, Philippines, seeks a Plant Manager to lead operations at our Biñan facility. The role involves overseeing end-to-end manufacturing, quality assurance, warehouse and logistics, staff management, safety compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire manufacturing process, from raw material intake to finished product output.
• Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and company objectives.
• Ensure optimal use of resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials.
• Implement and maintain quality control systems to ensure products meet specifications and customer requirements.
• Address and resolve any quality issues that arise during production.
• Implement and maintain quality assurance programs, including regular inspections, audits, and corrective actions both in production and plant.
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components
• Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize inventory turnover
• Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock for production while minimizing excess inventory and associated costs
• Recruit, train, and supervise plant staff, including production workers, technicians, and administrative personnel.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees.
• Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that promotes teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Ensure the plant complies with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Develop and enforce safety protocols to minimize workplace accidents and injuries.
• Oversee waste management and sustainability initiatives.
• Manage the plant’s budget, controlling costs, and optimizing expenditure.
• Monitor and report on production costs, labor efficiency, and other financial metrics.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
• Utilize lean manufacturing principles and other methodologies to streamline operations.
• Ensure that all equipment and machinery are maintained in good working condition.
• Schedule regular maintenance and address any equipment failures promptly.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs and coordinate repair and servicing activities
• Manage facility infrastructure, including building maintenance, utilities, and security
• Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making at the plant and corporate levels.
• Develop and implement long-term operational strategies to support the company’s growth and profitability.
• Communicate effectively with senior management, suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare and present regular reports on plant performance, including production metrics, safety records, and financial results.
• Provide training and development opportunities to employees toenhance skills and knowledge
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees to support their professional growth
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the plant
• Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor plant performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare weekly and regular reports for senior management detailing plant improvement and challenges.
