Job summary

Uni-President (Philippines) Corporation is seeking an engineering leader to drive plant maintenance, optimize production lines, and lead process improvements in a high-speed food manufacturing environment.

You will oversee steam and frying systems, packaging lines, and safety compliance, while managing a team and coordinating with regulators. Strong knowledge of local environmental laws and TPM/HACCP/GMP is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical or industrial engineering.
• Licensed/Registered PECE, PME or REE preferred.
• Accredited Pollution Control Officer (PCO) by DENR-EMB or eligible within 3 months.
• 5–8 years’ engineering experience in a food plant; 3+ years in management.
• Direct experience with continuous production lines, steam utilities, deep frying units, and packaging.
• Knowledge of Philippine environmental laws (RA 9275, 8749, 6969, 9003, PD 1586).
• Familiarity with PLC, SCADA, pneumatics, hydraulics, and thermal fluid boilers.
• Hands-on TPM, HACCP, GMP and DOLE-OSHC compliance.
• Strong leadership, budgeting, problem-solving, and LGU/regulator liaison.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant engineering and maintenance management.
• Optimize production lines and develop process engineering improvements.
• Supervise a technical team and manage resources.
• Direct EHS oversight including safety policies and hazard assessments.
• Oversee vendor and contractor management during plant upgrades.
• Drive continuous improvement and energy efficiency projects in frying and steam systems.
• Ensure audit readiness for HALAL, food safety standards and certifications.
• Maintain environmental permits and regulatory compliance.
• Operate WWTP to meet effluent limits.
