Responsibilities include performance tracking on costs and on-time departures, plus planning for peak seasons like major sales events. A strong emphasis on data analysis and stakeholder communication is essential.
Truck Capacity Planning: Create daily and weekly plans to forecast how many trucks we need based on incoming Shopee parcel volumes.
Schedule Coordination (Ops Clock): Work with warehouse teams to line up truck departure times with their sorting schedules, ensuring parcels don't sit idle.
Vendor Management: Follow up with third-party trucking companies (3PLs) to ensure they send the number of trucks they promised and arrive on time.
Load Optimization: Monitor truck space (cube utilization) so we aren't paying for half-empty trucks, and map out backloads to avoid empty return trips.
Peak Season Preparation: Plan out extra truck supply and backup routes ahead of major e-commerce sales (like 9.9, 11.11, and 12.12).
Performance Tracking: Build and update tracking sheets to report on costs, late departures, and truck utilization to management.
