You'll work in a PHP-based codebase, write clean, testable code, optimize MySQL queries, and collaborate on code reviews while leveraging AI-assisted tools to accelerate development.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of professional PHP development experience.
• Experience with MySQL/MariaDB database design and query optimization.
• Proficient with Git version control.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Linux-based server environments.
• Understanding of core web concepts (HTTP, sessions, authentication, security basics).
• Ability to read and work within a large codebase following established patterns.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools (Claude/Cursor or similar).

Responsibilities

About the role

We're looking for a mid-level Web Developer to join our IT team, working on our e-commerce platform's backend and web-facing features. You'll work within our existing PHP codebase, collaborating with the team to build, maintain, and improve features that serve our customers directly.

• Work with MySQL/MariaDB databases — writing efficient queries, contributing to schema changes

• Contribute to both frontend (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) and backend logic as needed

Required Qualifications

• - Ability to read and work within an existing large codebase, following established patterns
• - Hands-on experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar (e.g., for code generation, refactoring, debugging, or review)

Preferred Qualifications

• - Experience with Docker and containerized development environments
• - Experience with nginx configuration
• - Familiarity with e-commerce platforms or high-traffic web applications
