Job summary

Ortigas Hospital and Healthcare Center in Rizal, Cainta is seeking a Pharmacist to monitor supply of medicines, review orders, dispense medications, and counsel patients.

The role works with pharmacy aides, participates in stock testing and inventory, and ensures accurate labeling and reporting of medicine usage.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Pharmacist license in the Philippines.
• Experience in hospital pharmacy preferred.
• Strong knowledge of drug interactions and safety.

Responsibilities

• Fills prescriptions and dispenses pharmaceutical products
• Compounds medications not commercially available
• Labels all medicine containers issued to hospital services
• Records issuance of medicines in stock cards and completes issue forms
• Prepares monthly consumption and balance reports
• Provides drug information to physicians, nurses, and patients
• Notifies physicians of therapeutic incompatibilities and interactions
• Inspects and monitors drug products in all treatment areas
• Conducts daily/weekly/monthly inventory of medicines and supplies
• Prepares, checks and signs charge slips issued to patients

About the role

Responsible for monitoring the supply of all medicines used in the hospital and are in charge of reviewing the medication order / prescription of physician, dispensing medications, patient counselling, and quality testing of medication stock along with help from pharmacy aides.

Key responsibilities

• Fills prescriptions and dispenses pharmaceutical products

• Compounds medications not commercially available

• Labels all medicine containers issued to various hospital services

• Records issuance of medicines in the stock cards and accomplish issue report forms after every shift

• Prepared reports of monthly consumption and balance of stocks

• Provide drug information to physicians, nurses, allied medical staff and patients

• Notifies physicians on any therapeutic incompatibilities, potential drug interactions and duplicate prescriptions

• Inspect and monitor drug products in all treatment areas

• Conducts daily/weekly/monthly inventory of medicines and supplies

• Prepares, checks and signs charge slips issued to patients
