Job summary

St. Camillus Medical Center in the Philippines is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support the Pharmacy team under the supervision of the Chief Pharmacist. You will assist in filling prescriptions, cashiering, and maintaining stock, while upholding hospital policies and patient service standards.

Responsibilities include receiving medicines from the Storekeeper, inventory control, assisting the Pharmacist, and ensuring orderly, clean, and compliant pharmacy operations during your shift.

• Receives and checks medicines and pharmacy/medical supplies released by the Storekeeper to the Pharmacy Section
• Maintains the proper stocking and inventory of medicines and medical supplies in the Pharmacy Section during assigned shift
• Assists the Pharmacist in their work
• Performs records-keeping tasks as assigned by the Chief Pharmacist
• Acts as the custodian of the Emergency Purchase (EP) Fund for medicines and pharmacy/medical supplies
• Maintains order and cleanliness in assigned area
• Maintains a good relationship with patients/clients and other Hospital staff
• Attends meetings and conferences of the Ancillary Division
• Conducts daily/weekly/monthly inventory of medicines and supplies
• Follows the policies, rules, regulations, standard procedures, protocols and guidelines of the Hospital

About the role

Under the direction of the Hospital Administrator and the general supervision of the Chief Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Assistant performs certain activities in pharmacy work, such as the filling of prescriptions by physicians and dentists, among others; assists the pharmacist; performs cashiering and billing-related works.
