Job summary

Allied Care Experts Medical Center Inc. Cagayan de Oro seeks a Pharmacist to supervise the dispensing activities in Pharmacy Services and provide total quality customer services to stakeholders.

The role involves overseeing preparation, distribution and inspection of drugs and supplies, staff guidance on task prioritization, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures within a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Pharmacy with an updated PRC license.
• Computer literate and proficient with basic software tools.
• Strong verbal and communication skills are essential.
• Strong problem-solving skills are required.
• Ability to build successful teams and coalitions within a complex organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation, distribution and inspection of drugs and supplies.
• Assist in planning, organizing and implementing pharmacy policies and procedures.
• Guide subordinates in task prioritization and workflow.
• Inspect stocks, requisitions and post-delivery receipts.
• Fill prescriptions, dispense drugs and label containers for departments/services.
• Dispense dangerous drugs to inpatients with required documentation.
• Check manufacture and expiration dates and drug labels.
• Post charge slips in the computer and coordinate with billing.

About the role

The Pharmacist supervises the dispensing activities of Pharmacy Services and shall provide total quality customer services to stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing pharmaceutical healthcare services related to the preparation, distribution and inspection of drugs and supplies
• Assist in the general management functions of planning, organizing and implementing pharmacy policies and procedures
• Guide subordinates in work prioritization of specific tasks
• Inspect stocks and requisitions and receive post-delivery receipts
• Fill prescriptions, dispense drugs and perform other pharmaceutical care servicesLabel drug containers issued to various departments/services
• Dispense dangerous drugs or prohibited drugs to inpatients with necessary requirements and record them in the Dangerous Drug Book
• Check the manufacture and expiration dates and labels of drugs
• Post charge slip in the computer and submit them to the billing and accounting departments for processing

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• 1. B.S. Degree in Pharmacy
