DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Dispensing and Patient Care
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, and potential drug interactions before dispensing.
- Provide patient counseling regarding proper medication use, side effects, and contraindications.
- Ensure compliance with FDA and company dispensing guidelines.
- Supervise and train Pharmacy Assistants and interns in dispensing procedures.
Inventory and Stock Management
- Monitor inventory levels, expiry dates, and reorder points to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Verify deliveries and ensure proper documentation of stock receipts and adjustments.
- Coordinate with the warehouse and purchasing for replenishment of medicines and supplies.
- Maintain accurate stock cards and monitor variance between physical and system inventory.
- Manage the supply chain by analyzing sales trends, identifying fast-moving items, and preventing both stockouts and overstocking in the branch.
Compliance and Documentation
- Ensure that all pharmacy operations comply with FDA, DOH, and company requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, prescriptions, and controlled drug transactions.
- Assist during regulatory inspections and ensure readiness for audits.
- Renew and display all necessary pharmacy permits and licenses as required.
Customer Service and Collaboration
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving product-related concerns.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and customers for special orders or product availability.
- Promote proper medicine use and advocate for patient health and safety.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to operational improvements.
QUALIFICATION
Licensed Pharmacist with a valid PRC license.
Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy.
At least 1 year of experience in retail or hospital pharmacy.
Strong knowledge of drug classifications, dosage, and therapeutic uses.
Excellent communication, documentation, and patient-handling skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and POS or pharmacy management systems.
