Job summary

Halcyon Marine Healthcare Systems, Inc. is seeking a customer service focused Medical Records Associate to verify patient files, advise on test status, and coordinate with billing before examinations.

You will liaise with Follow-up MDs, PEME Accounts Specialists, and Processing MDs to ensure timely status updates, endorsements, and re-medical approvals.

The ideal candidate is college-educated or has an Associate degree, is computer literate, detail oriented, communicates well, and can start ASAP.

Qualifications

• College graduate or holder of a vocational/associate degree.
• Computer literate and proficient with basic office software.
• Excellent communication skills and telephone etiquette.
• Able to establish professional customer relations.
• Self-starter with multitasking and time management abilities.
• Pleasant personality and customer service oriented.
• Very good clerical skills; attention to detail is essential.
• Experience in the medical field is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Checks and verifies patient medical records and advises on final status before examination.
• Directs the patient to cashier for test charging prior to undergoing the examination.
• Coordinates with Follow-up MDs and PEME Accounts Specialist for status endorsements.
• Coordinates with Processing MDs for expired records and re-medical screening.
• Monitors and follows up on test results by coordinating with Testing Units.
