Job summary

ING is seeking an IT Area Lead to own the Pega domain, driving modernization and delivery excellence across global banking platforms. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, shape technology strategy, and partner with stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

You will foster Agile, DevOps, and continuous delivery practices, develop leadership, manage budgets, and navigate risk in a regulated, enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading enterprise technology teams.
• Strong expertise in Pega, BPM platforms, and low-code technologies.
• Demonstrated people leadership experience, managing managers, leads, and engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, SDLC, and engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a domain of multidisciplinary technology teams focused on Pega-based solutions and business process platforms.
• Define and execute domain technology strategy aligned with organizational goals and transformation objectives.
• Drive the modernization of platforms, architecture, processes, and engineering practices.
• Partner with business, architecture, security, risk, and engineering stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
• Ensure the reliability, security, compliance, and performance of critical banking applications.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and engineering excellence.
• Champion Agile, DevOps, Continuous Delivery, and high-performing team practices.
• Develop leadership capability, coach managers and engineers, and build succession pipelines.
• Manage technology risks, security governance requirements, and regulatory commitments.
• Oversee domain delivery, budget planning, vendor engagement, and resource management.
