Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in the Philippines seeks a Technician I to provide technical and operational support for the assembly and testing of test hardware in engineering and production environments.

The role covers PCB assembly, material handling, BOM reviews, and documentation to ensure efficient test support operations. You will perform hand soldering, move materials from warehouse to lab, update work logs, and assist in component replacement and basic troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 2-year technology program in electronics, electrical, or mechatronics.
• 1 year of PCB assembly or electronics industry preferred; fresh graduates considered.
• Able to read schematics and block diagrams; proficient in datasheet analysis.
• Willing to work overtime and deploy to other lab sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in PCB assembly and test hardware handling in lab.
• Move materials from warehouse to lab and stock with carts.
• Review BOM; check part numbers and purchase requests.
• Update work logs for traceability and documentation.
• Replace defective components during testing; basic troubleshooting.
