Acquire Intelligence is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations for an Australian healthcare network from our PH hub. This hands-on leadership role oversees a small local team, maintains payroll systems, drives process improvements, and ensures compliance with Australian payroll legislation and reporting requirements.

You’ll act as a payroll SME while remaining actively involved in processing, audits, system administration, and payroll projects, with hybrid work (onsite in Eastwood

Qualifications

• Experience managing end-to-end Australian payroll operations.
• Strong leadership abilities to guide a local payroll team.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support payroll projects related to Australian legislation, awards, taxation, superannuation, and compliance requirements.
• Ensure payroll processes remain compliant with Australian payroll regulations.
• Support internal and external audits and payroll reporting requirements.
• Provide payroll insights and reporting to support business decisions and employee experience initiatives.
• Lead and support the local PH Payroll Team (Payroll Officer and HR Admin).
• Drive payroll process improvements and optimize system workflows.
• Remain hands-on with payroll operations and complete full pay runs when required.
• Provide coverage during the Payroll Officer's absence.
