Job summary

Educar Shared Services Inc. is seeking a Payroll Assistant to support accurate and timely payroll processing for store and head office employees in the Metro Manila area.

The role requires careful handling of timekeeping data and payroll calculations to ensure compliance and confidentiality. You will consolidate timekeeping records, compute salaries and deductions, and coordinate with HR on hires, resignations, and status changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HRDM or Psychology.
• 6 months to 1 year experience in payroll processing.
• Knowledgeable in Philippine labor laws and payroll compliance.
• Proficient in MS Excel is an advantage.
• Experience with payroll systems or HRIS is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for store-based and head office employees.
• Consolidate and verify timekeeping records (biometrics, DTRs, attendance reports, overtime, undertime, leaves).
• Compute salaries, allowances, incentives and deductions.
• Validate payroll adjustments including salary increases, retro pay, final pay, and back pay.
• Ensure all payroll documents are properly filed and secured.
• Coordinate with HR regarding new hires, resignations, promotions, disciplinary deductions, and employee status changes.
• Address payroll-related concerns and inquiries from employees (store and head office).
• Support internal and external audits by providing required payroll documentation.
• Assist in the computation of final pay, unused leave conversion, and separation pay (if applicable).
• Ensure compliance with DOLE regulations on timely release of final pay.
