MicroSourcing is hiring a Payroll and Benefits Accountant to manage wage expenses, payroll taxes, benefits, and insurance liabilities in a multi-currency environment.

The role requires 4–6 years in general or payroll accounting, strong IFRS/GAAP knowledge, and rigorous balance-sheet close processes. You'll work in a collaborative SSC setting with regional teams and opportunities for automation and career growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 4–6 years of general or payroll accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP as relates to compensation, benefits, payroll taxes and retirement plans.
• Ability to perform timely balance sheet reconciliations and meet monthly close deadlines.
• Proven track record of maintaining internal controls with high-detail financial data.

Responsibilities

• Post and manage general ledger entries for wage expenses, payroll taxes, benefit expenses, withholdings, and insurance liabilities.
• Reconcile payroll registers to the general ledger to confirm gross wages, employer taxes, and net pay post accuracy.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations for payroll accruals, health plans, retirement funds, and vendor invoices.
• Maintain the payroll accrual calendar to ensure timely calculations in line with the company's close schedule.
• Support internal and external teams with documentation for benefit plans, financial audits, and disclosures.
