Job summary

5127 EKC ADVANCED ELECTRONICS PHILIPPINES INC. is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to manage payroll processing across China, Taiwan and APAC regions from the Mandaluyong-based Manila HR Service Center.

The role interfaces with multiple regional teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years in payroll/Human Resources related roles, with strong English and Mandarin skills and experience in key payroll platforms such as Workday,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin (HSK 5+ or equivalent).
• 3–5 years handling China/Taiwan HR or payroll administration or related BPO experience.
• Experience with payroll systems such as Service Now, Workday Cloud Pay, SAP Payroll, UKG, Immedis Payroll.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-/post-payroll processing with focus on China/Taiwan.
• Verify payroll reports and documents for accuracy.
• Make adjustments using established procedures.
• Authorize and enter payroll transactions and related data.
• Maintain master and payroll data for off-cycle payments or corrections.
• Serve as subject matter expert for payroll processing transactions.
• Address employee payroll queries (loans, adjustments, benefits, commissions).
• Perform other assignments as directed by supervisor.

Summary

This position is a full-time role based in Mandaluyong, Manila. Hybrid work set up - 2 days in office (Mandaluyong City). The position will be managing internal payroll processes and managing third-party vendors that support Taiwan, China and various APAC payroll processes. This role will also be supporting the transition and transformation of the delivery of various payroll services from Taiwan, China and other geographies into the Manila HR Service Center. It will work closely with the HR Service Centers to deliver seamless payroll services to the organization’s employees across multiple countries and regions.

Job Responsibilities

• Completes pre / post payroll processing activities based on implemented procedures with heavy focus on China/Taiwan.
• Reviews, analyzes, and verifies payroll reports and documents for accuracy.
• Makes necessary adjustments or corrections using established procedures.
• Authorizes, reviews and/or may enter payroll transactions and related data.
• Maintain master data and payroll data required for any off-cycle check payments and for any under or overpayment related corrections.
• Acts as subject matter expert and / or resource to others for payroll processing transactions.
• Handles and / or provide guidance for all employee queries related to payroll or payment e.g. loans, payroll adjustments, benefit adjustments, commission payments, etc.
• Responsible for other assignments per supervisor assigned.

Job Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering or other related fields.
• Skills and Competencies: Proficiency in English and Mandarin (both traditional and simplified, certified HSK Level 5 and above or equivalent) language skills.
• 3-5 year experience to handling China/Taiwan countries in HR or payroll administration or another BPO field is preferred. Having knowledge or experience in end-to-end payroll procedures and other pay-impacting processes such as GL reconciliation, is advantage.
• Experience in using / managing one or more of the following systems is strongly preferred: Service Now, Workday Cloud Pay, SAP Payroll, UKG, Immedis Payroll.
• High degree of accuracy, often in time-critical situations; Effective communication skills to work with all levels; Experience in call center or shared services environment.
