Job Summary
The Payment Processing Associate handles inbound and outbound phone support to facilitate, verify, and reconcile payments for labor and lumper services across US supply chain and warehouse locations. This role requires exceptional English communication skills, high attention to detail for financial processing, and the ability to maintain composure while managing high call volumes with drivers, carriers, and dispatchers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Payment & Transaction Management
- Receive inbound calls and conduct outbound calls to truck drivers, freight carriers, and logistics companies to collect payments for warehouse services.
- Process credit/debit card transactions and electronic payments securely and accurately following standard compliance guidelines.
- Issue, verify, and accurately record payment checks (e.g., EFS, Comdata, or electronic check equivalents).
- Ensure 100% accurate shift-end reconciliation, tracking all collected payments and balancing ledgers before handing off to management.
- Issue receipts and compile accurate documentation for payment refunds or billing disputes.
Customer Service & Communication
- Deliver clear, professional, and friendly phone support to US-based callers while maintaining a calm demeanor during high-stress or complex interactions.
- Use active listening and structured questioning to identify issues, resolve payment roadblocks, and minimize transaction delays.
- Maintain speed and accuracy while navigating multiple internal web tools, dual monitors, and payment platforms simultaneously.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
- Senior High School Graduate, College Undergraduate, or Bachelor's Degree holder.
- At least 1 year of customer service experience; 1+ year of BPO / Call Center experience supporting US voice accounts preferred.
- Prior experience handling payment processing, billing, or financial/logistics voice support is a strong advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- High fluency in spoken and written English with clear articulation.
- Basic numerical proficiency and strong attention to detail in data entry.
- Proficiency in basic computer operation, web browser navigation, and multi-monitor setups.
- Strong emotional resilience, patience, and de-escalation skills when handling difficult callers.
