Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with questions with a friendly, professional approach.
• Manage calls, emails, and digital inquiries promptly.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments and optimize provider calendars.
• Support reminders and reduce no-shows.
• Verify demographics and insurance eligibility in the EMR.
• Explain coverage, benefits, and financial responsibilities to patients.
• Prepare charts and documents for visits.
• Process co-pays and payments in the EMR.
• Monitor patient flow and address delays or conflicts.
• Keep patients informed about wait times and next steps.
• Coordinate with clinical and optical teams for smooth transitions.
• Support recall and annual/medically necessary appointments.
• Maintain a clean, organized front office.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Practice Manager/Optometrist.
