Job summary

Mirandah Asia International Inc. - Philippine Branch is seeking a Patent Paralegal to support the IP team in the Philippines.

The role covers end-to-end administrative and paralegal duties for patent matters, from prosecution through post-grant maintenance, coordinating with attorneys and IPOPHL. This position targets individuals who are organized, detail-oriented, and eager to develop expertise in patent prosecution and IP portfolio management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required or related field.
1–3 years in patent prosecution or IP support preferred.
IPOPhL experience is an advantage.
Familiar with patent prosecution procedures, docketing, and annuity/maintenance requirements.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Ability to handle multiple matters and prioritize deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
Able to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
Willingness to learn and develop Philippine patent practice.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing and filing patent applications with IPOPHL.
Docket and monitor patent prosecution deadlines and office actions.
Coordinate filing of responses and amendments under attorney directions.
Handle formalities and documentation for patent applications.
Monitor application status and communicate updates to foreign associates.
Assist with post-grant recordals, assignments, and changes in ownership/address.
Maintain accurate patent portfolio records and docketing information.
