Overview

POSITION TITLE: Cake Decorator / Pastry Artist

WORK LOCATION: Amman, Jordan

WORK SETUP: Onsite, Full-Time (1-Year Renewable Contract)

SALARY: USD 700/month

ABOUT THE EMPLOYER:

Our client is a beloved name in Amman, Jordan, known for its American-style desserts — from decadent cakes and pies to cupcakes, cookies, and more — delighting customers since 2007. The bakery is recognized for its creativity, quality, and passion for dessert craftsmanship.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Decorate cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and specialty desserts with creativity, precision, and artistry.
• Work with buttercream, fondant, ganache, chocolate, and other mediums.
• Create custom cake designs and collaborate with the pastry team to develop new and exciting ideas.
• Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation align with brand standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to strict food safety and hygiene protocols.
• Consult with customers regarding cake designs, themes, and customization preferences for specialty cakes.
• Decorate regular bakery items in accordance with established bakery standards.
• Assist the baking team with production of standard bakery items as needed.
• Prepare and produce various icings, frostings, and fillings based on cake type and customer requests.
• Demonstrate strong artistic skills in cake art, molding, and drawing to bring creative designs to life.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience as a Cake Decorator, Pastry Artist, or similar role.
• Strong artistic and creative ability with a keen eye for detail and design.
• Knowledge of modern decorating tools, materials, and design trends.
• Excellent time management and ability to work under deadlines.
• Team player with good communication and collaboration skills.
• Candidate must be currently in the Philippines and willing to relocate, or already residing in Jordan.
• Diploma or Certificate in Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or Cake Decorating (TESDA or accredited culinary school in the Philippines) preferred.
• Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate (if available).

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Monthly Salary: USD 700
• Accommodation: Provided by the client
• Airfare (travel expenses): Shouldered by the client
• Visa sponsorship: Provided
• Contract Duration: 1 year, renewable annually based on performance
• No Placement Fee: This is a direct hire position.
