Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly capable Paralegal & Data Privacy Officer (Technical Rank) to join our team at our Makati Head Office. This dual-function role is designed to strengthen our internal capabilities in both legal operations and regulatory data privacy compliance.

Job Responsibilities

As Paralegal

• Legal Research: Conduct research on laws, regulations, and legal precedents to support case strategies.
• Document Drafting: Assist in reviewing contracts/service agreements and drafting pleadings or correspondences.
• Case Management: Assist with evidence gathering, fact investigations, witness interviews, and hearing preparations.
• Filing Systems: Organize and maintain paper and electronic legal document filing systems.

As Data Privacy Officer (DPO)

• Policy Development: Create and implement company-wide and function-specific data protection policies aligned with RA 10173 (Data Privacy Act of 2012).
• Compliance Audits: Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify potential security gaps.
• Training & Awareness: Educate and train employees on data privacy principles and security measures.
• Incident Management: Serve as the main point of contact for regulatory agencies and data subjects, and handle any data breach incidents.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: With relevant education and/or certification; Bachelor of Laws (LLB) graduate is highly preferred.
• Experience: At least 1 year of work experience as a Paralegal. Prior involvement in Data Privacy matters is desirable.
• Key Skills: High research proficiency, analytical skills, strong leadership, excellent communication, and tech-savvy.
• Attributes: Proactive with an innate desire to learn, strong work ethic, flexible, and a great team player.

Position Details

• Work Location: Head Office – Makati City
• Employment Type: Initially under a 6-month service agreement (with an opportunity for regularization based on acceptable performance).
• Salary Range: ₱20,000 or above (depending on skills and qualifications).
