Job summary

Dempsey Resource Management Inc. is seeking a Paralegal & Data Privacy Officer for the Head Office in Makati. This on-site role covers legal research, contract review, and privacy program development under a 6-month service agreement with potential for regularization.

The candidate should have a law degree (LLB preferred) and at least 1 year in a paralegal role, with knowledge of RA 10173 beneficial. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Paralegal duties and data privacy work require legal knowledge and strong written communication.
• Experience with reviewing contracts and service agreements is preferred.
• Familiarity with Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173) is a plus.

Responsibilities

PARALEGAL & DATA PRIVACY OFFICER

We are looking for a Paralegal & Data Privacy Officer to strengthen our organization’s legal and data privacy capabilities.

Site Assignment: Head Office – Makati

Job Rank: Technical

Employment Type: 6-Month Service Agreement, with potential regularization based on performance

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As Paralegal:

• Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents
• Assist in reviewing contracts and service agreements
• Draft and prepare legal documents and correspondence
• Support case management, fact investigation, evidence gathering, and hearing/trial preparation
• Organize and maintain legal documents and evidence

As Data Privacy Officer:

• Develop and maintain company data privacy policies in compliance with RA 10173 (Data Privacy Act of 2012)
• Implement data protection policies, procedures, and security measures
• Conduct privacy audits and risk assessments
• Conduct employee training and awareness programs on data privacy
• Coordinate with data protection authorities and regulatory agencies
• Respond to data privacy inquiries and assist in handling data breach incidents

QUALIFICATIONS

• Relevant degree and/or certification; Bachelor of Laws (LLB) graduate preferred
• At least 1 year of experience as a Paralegal
• Experience or involvement in Data Privacy matters is an advantage
• Strong research, analytical, and communication skills
• Computer savvy and detail-oriented
• Good interpersonal and leadership skills
